Business Development Manager (Jeddah - Global Freight Forwarding)

Location: JEDDAH

Job Description:

 

  • Manage the resources effectively, reducing costs, optimizing efficiency, timely job completion, and fund collection within the set time limits.
  • Develop and maintain business relations with major airfreight companies / networks.
  • Implement all organizational policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner in the branch.
  • Develop and maintain customer relations by establishing customer needs, reducing errors and complaints, implementing best practices and speeding up processing time while maintaining quality.
  • Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals by coaching, motivating, and supporting staff to provide a seamless service to the customers by ensuring legal compliance.
  • Lead sales and marketing activities in the sector and acquire new customers by converting enquiries into sales using customer first approach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients by understanding client needs and tailor solutions to meet their logistics requirements. Maintain a steady line of communication by making periodic courtesy calls to customers and serve as a point of contact for customers. 
  • Direct and assist Operation Support teams with quotations, customer service and professional handling of existing and new clients.
  • Demonstrate strict compliance of organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by immediate superior.

Constant communication with a) customers b)   major airlines and other stakeholders.

Work environment is mostly office based with occasional customer visits required. 

Physical demand – normal physical demand but regular attentiveness is required to complete the tasks on time.

Challenges - availability to customer queries and follow-up always.

Academic / Professional Qualification
  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Diploma in Logistics Operations is desirable.
Job Experience
  • 6 - 8 Years Global Freight Forwarding experience including 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in sales & operations of freight forwarding sector.
